There was disappointment for four Lampeter ladies after the World Bowls Championship was postponed indefinitely because of the Covid-19 crisis.
Wales was one of 36 nations competing in the event in Gold Coast, Australia from May 23 to June 7 and the local bowlers were Melanie Thomas, Anwen Butten, Alis Butten and Rhian Jones.
There has been a change at the Rookery green in Lampeter with long-serving match secretary Ron Thomas stepping down and succeeded by Steve Entwistle.
