Llandysul women’s hockey team are sitting pretty in third spot in Division 1 of the South Wales Women’s League after a convincing 2-0 win over close rivals Rhondda.
Both goals went to Tracey Davies and player of the match was Lleucu Ifans.
Meanwhile Newcastle Emlyn ladies dropped to fifth in Division 2 after a closely-fought match with leaders Cardiff University.
The city side are some way ahead of the pack but were very nearly brought to heel ina spirited display by Emlyn.
The girls came back from a 3-1 deficit at half time to finish very strongly.
Enfys Davies scored a hat-trick and player of the match went to Sioned Davies.
