As unbeaten Cardigan & District Darts League high-flyers Tafarn Yr Oen swept to a 7-2 win over visiting neighbours Red Lion the highlight was a stunning performance by veteran thrower and landlord Jamie Bowen accompanied by youngster Rhys Jones.

The final scoreline did not do justice to the Red players who forced deciding legs in the majority of the entertaining games.

A 12-dart finish is considered world class for a singles competition but quite remarkable in a local doubles match.

With the score standing at 1-1 Bowen gained first throw in the deciding leg by hitting the bullseye and followed up with 140.

Jones achieved an identical score before his partner got a hundred, leaving Jones on 121 and he proved up to the task by hitting single 20, treble 17, bullseye.
