Bowling honours for Rhys Beard
Having gained promotion to the Pembroke County Cricket League Division One at the end of last season Llechryd had further cause for celebration when all-rounder Rhys Beard was included on the Play Cricket Wales Bowling Honours 2019.
The 27-year-old all-rounder, whose brother Tom was also a regular with the Teifisiders, gained recognition for his bowling performance against Pembroke at the RDM Oval in early June when the medium-pacer was virtually unplayable in returning figures of 7-14.
He was the only player in all six divisions in Pembrokeshire to be honoured.
