TWO former Cardigan Secondary School pupils were part of the Swansea University Ladies’ rugby team that beat Cardiff's team recently in the annual Varsity match held at the Principality Stadium.
Rebecca Redmond and Bethany Williams – from Llechryd and Cardigan respectively - are both in their third year at Swansea University.
Rebecca said: “It was a great privilege to play for the university especially as the game was in Wales's national stadium."
The Swansea University side earned themselves a dramatic 30-27 victory, courtesy of a scintillating last-minute try from Claire Dean.
