The biggest number of entries for some years and fierce competition were the ingredients for a highly successful Universe Singles Tournament in the Ceredigion Snooker League at Aberaeron on Sunday.
In an exciting final contested by Aberaeron cueists Rhydian Ap Owen and John Jones, the latter took the first frame with a break of 30, but Owen came back strongly to win 2-1 including a 48-break in the deciding frame.
