Costcutter Football League club St Dogmaels were kicked out of a cup competition before the end of the season when the club and reserves team manager were dealt with by a Central Wales Football Association disciplinary committee.
St Dogmaels Reserves were involved in a Percy Eldridge Cup semi-final tie against their Crannog counterparts at the Urdd Centre in Llangrannog on May 5, when there was controversy during the second half and referee Andrew Rockley abandoned the game.
After considering the referee’s report the disciplinary committee disqualified St Dogmaels on a charge of failing to control players and fined the club £120.
The disqualification resulted in Crannog Reserves going through to the final where they lost 4-2 against Newcastle Emlyn Reserves at Ffostrasol on Thursday.
Saints reserve team manager Jonny James was suspended for two games at the start of next season and fined as a result of the decision.
