Fifteen-year-old Cerys Carrol Jones from Cenarth and her homebred Warmblood Rio Magic, struck gold in the Dressage Championships of Great Britain at the David Broome Event Centre in Chepstow recently.
They rode their first championship test on the Saturday where they achieved a score of 71 per cent and were placed second. On the Sunday they then rode their final championship test where they were placed first with a score of 72 per cent.
Combining both scores gave Cerys and Rio Magic, known as Team Ginger, achieved the highest score gaining them a gold medal.
