A ST DOGMAELS man has today (Monday) denied assaulting a police officer after allegedly running around naked.
Benjamin Smith, aged 34, was before Judge Geraint Walters at Swansea crown court for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Smith, of Feidr Fawr, denied assaulting an emergency worker during the execution of her duty on Boxing Day last year.
Smith is accused of slapping Police Officer Christine Lewis on her face.
Brian Simpson, prosecuting, said the alleged incident happened as officers attempted to stop Smith running around the area while naked.
Judge Walters said he would not set a date for his trial until Smith's defence team had been allowed the time to view police bodycam footage.
A further hearing will be held on Friday and Smith was granted bail until then.
