Cardigan sixthformer Jack Henderson has proved he’s the best in Wales when it comes to bright ideas.

Jack, 18, who left Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi this summer, scooped the top prize in the Welsh Assembly Government and WJEC Design and Technology Innovation Awards with his clever idea for a Obike claw’ for transporting dirt bikes.

Jack, from Sarnau, won £500 plus £250 for the school’s D&T department.

Design andtechnology head Emyr James said: "This is a terrific achievement for both Jack and the school."

Fellow pupils Tom Purnell and Hefin Jones were also shortlisted.

"It was a great achievement to have three different projects selected this year but to win the highest accolade that a design and technology A level student can achieve in Wales is absolutely fantastic," added Mr James.
