The footpaths are now officially marked on the definitive map.
The addition is in accordance with Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
In Llangrannog, the new footpath runs from SN3124:5426 to SN3112:5432, and in Cardigan, the footpath runs from SN1772:4572 to SN1776:4574 and SN1778:4575.
Both paths are marked on the official order map.
Residents can request a copy of the confirmed order and map from Ceredigion County Council by calling 01545 570 881 or emailing clic@ceredigion.gov.uk during working hours from Monday to Friday.
This order came into place on October 8, 2025.
However, if anyone believes the order is not valid, they have the right to challenge it.
This could be on grounds such as the order not complying with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
If they wish to do so, they must apply to the High Court under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 within 42 days from the notice publication date.
