Scam QR codes have been reported on Pembrokeshire car park signs.

Pembrokeshire County Council confirmed its car parks do not use QR codes for payments.

Motorists who spot QR codes on council car park signs are urged not to scan them.

Instead, they should report them immediately via 01437 764551 or enquiries@pembrokeshire.gov.uk.

The council advises using the PayByPhone app for mobile payments in its car parks.

They also urge the public to ensure they use the official PayByPhone website.

More information on avoiding QR scams can be found on the PayByPhone website.
