A man has been taken to hospital following a single-vehicle collision that closed a key stretch of the B4343 between Tregaron and Pontrhydfendigaid early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6.40am on Tuesday, August 12. Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that the driver was transported to hospital by ambulance.

The road was closed for several hours to allow emergency crews to attend and clear the scene. It reopened at approximately 9.40am.

In a statement, Dyfed-Powys Police said:

“Police attended a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 6.40am, this morning, August 12, on the B4343 near Pontrhydfendigaid. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital by ambulance. The road was closed and reopened at 9.40am.”

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes during the closure.
