Here is a round‑up of cases heard at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court and Justice Centre from the Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn, Llandysul, Lampeter, Llanybydder, Aberaeron, Llangrannog, New Quay, Aberporth, Crymych, Fishguard, Newport or Goodwick areas. 

Aaron Kinsella, 36, of Golwg Y Castell, Cardigan, appeared on July 23, 2025 and must pay £405.96 in compensation, court costs and a surcharge.

He pleaded guilty to criminal damage on March 4, 2024 at Pentop, Golwg Y Castell, Cardigan, where he smashed a £294.96 glass panel in a UPVC door.

Magistrates imposed a 12‑month conditional discharge and ordered the sum to be repaid at £24 per month from August 20, 2025.

Rhian Jeremiah, 37, of Parc Noi, St Dogmaels, must pay £281 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after admitting assault by beating of an emergency worker on July 6, 2025 at Awel Yr Afon, Cardigan.

The bench increased the fine to £140 because the victim was a police constable, and set deductions from benefit at £24 a month starting August 20, 2025.
