A dramatic blaze in Llangeler on Friday afternoon, 18 July, saw flames leap from a burning tractor to nearby vehicles, bales of hay, and a residential property prompting a major response from fire crews across West Wales.
The fire was first reported at 2.17pm, and crews from Llandysul, Cardigan, Carmarthen, Lampeter, Newcastle Emlyn, and Llanelli fire stations raced to the scene.

Flames reached into the property’s kitchen and attic space, but firefighters managed to prevent further damage through swift action.
A total of eight breathing apparatus sets, three hose reel jets, one main covering jet, and a water shuttling system were deployed to bring the blaze under control.

At 2.17pm on Friday, July 18th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Llandysul, Cardigan, Carmarthen, Lampeter, Newcastle Emlyn and Llanelli Fire Stations were called to an incident at Llangeler in Llandysul.
Crews responded to a fire involving one tractor that had spread to bales, two vehicles and a nearby property. The fire at the property, which was caused by the spread, was confined to the kitchen and attic space.
