Children from a local school recently became litter picking heroes as they took to the street as part of a national campaign.

The pupils from St Dogmaels School cleaned up the village during Keep Wales Tidy’s National Spring Clean Cymru 2025.

The spring clean encouraged thousands of people across Wales to become litter heroes and hold a litter pick, especially between March 21 to April 6.

As part of the Keep Wales Tidy national spring clean the children of St Dogmaels spent the day picking litter around their village with the whole school giving the streets a spring clean.

The village’s Repair Café also put on a display of the sort of kit that can be used including litter pickers, hi-vis vests and rubbish bags.

Other events also took place in Boncath, Tenby, St Clears, Martletwy, Newgale and FreshwaterWest.
