A children's play will be performed in Cardigan in June.

On Thursday, June 6, theatre company, Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch, will return to Mwldan with its much-loved performance of 'Cerdyn Post O Wlad Y Rwla'.

The charming play introduces children to colourful characters such as Rala Rwdins, Rwdlan, Dewin Doeth, Dewin Dwl, Llipryn Llwyd, Strempan, and Mursen the cat.

A journey filled with tricks, song, and laughter awaits as they embark on their holidays.

Based in Aberystwyth, the theatre company is renowned for producing children's plays, with the Rala Rwdins series being their flagship production for many years.

The characters have successfully transitioned from book to stage and screen, loved by generations of children.

The play offers something for all children, making it an ideal event for a family day out or a school field trip, with everyone welcome.

'Cerdyn Post O Wlad Y Rwla' is a stage performance in the Welsh language, targeting children aged between 3 to 8 years.

However, it also caters to new Welsh speakers of all ages.

The critically acclaimed Angharad Tomos, awarded twice by the Welsh Book Council for the best children’s book, established the Rala Rwdins series more than three decades ago.

The books are set in the magical land of Gwlad y Rwla, inhabited by little witches and wizards.

Although entertaining, each story includes an educational component.

The play runs for 55 minutes and starts at 10am.

Tickets are available for £8 from Mwldan's website or by calling the box office from 12 until 8pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
