A Lampeter man has been named as one of the best heating installers in the UK.

Daniel Davies from Lampeter, claimed the Heating Installer Awards 2024 title for the Welsh region.

A well-established professional, Mr Davies has owned and operated Daniel Davies Plumbing for a number of years. His company offers many services, including oil boiler installations and servicing, bathroom installations, emergency call out services, and designing sustainable heating systems.

Mr Davies' winning project involved fitting a heating system in a freshly built dormer bungalow. Investigating mutually beneficial solutions with the homeowner, his system included the installation of solar panels on the roof, underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiators on the first floor.

Mr Davies expressed his pride upon winning, capturing the essence of the installer's drive and satisfaction. He said: "Many local tradesmen have been to the property and have commented positively on the installation, which has not only made me proud but has reaffirmed to the homeowner that they made the right decision to trust me with such a big renovation.

"My clients have been very happy with their new high-performing, low-maintenance system and low energy bills. I'm pleased the judges have recognised just how many technical decisions went into creating a great job.”

The Heating Installer Awards, now in its ninth year, acknowledges the accomplishments and promotes the reputations of outstanding heating installers from all over the UK who demonstrate a commitment to customer excellence.

Judges are made up from previous winners and award partners including CIPHE, The IPG, Polypipe Building Products, Refresh, Samsung Climate Solutions and Stelrad evaluated entries based on problem-solving capabilities, product knowledge, and impressive work.

Mr Davies might still reach even higher accolades as he is in the running to be the 2024 Heating Installer Awards national winner.

By visiting the Heating Installer Awards website before May 28, the public can cast a vote to help him become the national winner. The public votes account for one-third of the overall scores assigned to each installer.

The overall winner will be announced on June 26 at the Installer Show in Birmingham NEC.
