Hywel Dda University Health Board officers are set to occupy sections of a Ceredigion County Council office.

The officers will be working from Canolfan Rheidol, Ceredigion County Council's office in Aberystwyth, from Monday, May 13 2024.

This move is the result of the council's hybrid working strategy and hybrid policy which has created opportunities to modify office space to accommodate other public services.

Councillor Bryan Davies, leader of Ceredigion County Council, welcomes the new partnership stating: "By adapting the way we work, we can enable the council to deliver modern services that will enhance the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of the people of Ceredigion."

He also believes this arrangement will facilitate the expansion of facilities at Bronglais Hospital.

Matthew Willis, general manager of Hywel Dda University Health Board's Bronglais Hospital, confirms this and expresses delight at the opportunity: "We are delighted to be able to extend our partnership arrangements with Ceredigion County Council.

"Modern high quality office accommodation will be provided for staff moving to Canolfan Rheidol, and the space released at Bronglais will enable the commencement of the building works for the Chemotherapy/Oncology Day Unit.

"60 desks have been commissioned and agile working arrangements are being established."

Recent changes to the former office space include the Penmorfa Centre for Independent Living, which opened last month in Aberaeron.

Ceredigion residents seeking access to council services are reminded to continue contacting the Clic Customer Services team through various channels including email, phone and on the Ceredigion County Council website.
