BASINGSTOKE is gearing up for its annual spectacle as the Duck Race makes a triumphant return to Bartons Mill on Monday, May 27 with fun for all ages.
Hosted by Basingstoke Loddon Rotary Club, the event promises a day filled with family fun and friendly competition.
The duck race has become a beloved tradition, bringing together the community for an afternoon of entertainment along the riverbanks.
The main benefactor of the event this year will be St Michaels Hospice, with the rest going to the other charities Basingstoke Loddon Rotary Club supports locally and in Ukraine.

Attendees can expect a variety of activities, including face painting and the whimsical antics of the Balloon Man, as they cheer on their feathered contenders down the river.
Tickets for the duck race are priced at £1 each, available in books of five, with no limit on the number of entries per person.
Attendees stand a chance to win an array of exciting prizes generously donated by local businesses.
There will be 'guess the number of Ducks' and 'Dip for a Duck' competitions.
From overnight stays to indulgent afternoon teas and enticing meal deals, there's something for everyone.

The top prize, however, is four Annual Merlin passes, up for grabs for the top ducks from each heat.
Tickets will be available both online and on the day of the event.
Organisers are hopeful for a strong turnout, saying that missing out would be "quackers."
