A local farmers market will launch in a Carmarthenshire town this Saturday (May 4).
From 10am to 2pm in Market Square, Llandovery Farmers Market will feature a range of high-quality meat such as goat from Happy Valley, pasture-raised beef from The Welsh Farm and charcuterie selection from The Baker’s Pig.
Residents can also purchase sheep cheese from Ffynnon Wen, alternative cheeses from Good Carma Foods, gluten free and vegan cakes from Tasty Local Cakes and a variety of marmalades from JAR’d.
Market manager Raoul Bhambral said: “It is incredible to have such a broad range of fantastic goods already for the first market.
And this is by no means all of what is available in the area. I’m so glad so many traders will bring their quality goods direct to the people of Llandovery.”
Apart from food, fresh flowers will be sold from Simany Flowers, homemade ciders from Brecon Beacons Cider, real ales from Left Bank Brewery and liquors from Papa Moonshine.
Llandovery Farmers Market will commence on the first Saturday of every month until October 2024 and there is room for more stalls to appear at future markets.
Local producers can email Raoul at llandoveryfarmersmarket@gmail.com or visit the Llandovery Farmers Market Facebook page.
