Do you know someone in Ceredigion who has been dedicated in their volunteering roles?

The Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations (CAVO) is eager to express gratitude to the county's many volunteers, and to shed light on their tremendous acts of kindness and selflessness.

In a show of appreciation, CAVO is launching the Ceredigion Volunteer Awards 2024.

This initiative aims to celebrate the diverse contributions made by the individuals and groups that have worked tirelessly towards improving their communities in Ceredigion.

CAVO's chief officer, Hazel Lloyd Lubran said: "So many people have given so much that truly has made that difference to our communities in Ceredigion, we thank you all!

"The Ceredigion Volunteer Awards provides an opportunity to shine a spotlight on a number of exceptional individuals and groups who have gone above and beyond."

Nicola King, one of the 2023 Team Award recipients from Aberporth Hall, said: "We are so fortunate to have a fantastic team of volunteers, who ensure services, events and activities run in Aberporth.

"Without our dedicated team bringing people together, Aberporth would be a very different place!

"I would recommend all volunteers are nominated and get the recognition and appreciation they deserve for their passion and commitment to our community."

Nominations for the awards are open until May 1, 2024.

Submissions can be made online, via CAVO's website, or by getting in touch with CAVO for a nomination form.

The awards will be presented during Volunteers Week, which runs from June 3 to June 9.

The categories for this year's awards are vast, including Outstanding Achievement, Team Award, Young Person Award, Trustee Award and Volunteer Coordinator Award.
