LEAFED Through, Cardigan’s popular community bookshop, has celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Over the past decade the Pendre-based business has donated over £50,000 to over thirty local community groups ranging from Cardigan Foodbank, the Oxygen Therapy Centre, local schools and the recent successful Lantern Parade organised by Small World Theatre.

Extending his ‘warm congratulations’ to Leafed Through, Councillor Clive Davies said the fund-raising had been made possible thanks to the customers who had purchased books and the volunteers who ran the bookshop each week.

Bookshop Chair Guy Stoate said: "When we started out we had no idea how popular it would be-come.

“We would like to thank the people of Cardigan for their generosity and support over the years.

“Special thanks to all the volunteers who have worked so hard to make it such a success."

This week’s anniversary celebrations included a performance by a local choir and book readings from local authors Carly Holmes and Glen Peters.
