THESE defendants have had their cases heard in court recently.

The six defendants were accused with speeding, driving with a faulty tyre, and not identifying the driver of a vehicle alleged to have committed an offence.

These cases were heard at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

Here’s a round-up of the cases.

LIAM CLAYTON-FORD, 23 of Garden Suburbs in Trimsaran, has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 after not identifying the driver of a Volkswagen Passat.

The offence related to the driver of the Passat being alleged to have been doing 39mph on the 30mph limit A484 at Rhos on June 16.

A charge of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have committed an offence was proved using the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15.

Clayton-Ford was fined £660, and must pay a £264 surcharge and £90 in costs. He also had six points added to his licence.

SEAN DYER, 57, of Plas Ioan in Johnstown, was caught speeding in Aberaeron.

Dyer was driving a Vauxhall Astra at 37mph on the 30mph limit A487 at Aberaeron on June 16.

He pleaded guilty, and was handed three points at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15.

Dyer was fined £66 and must pay a surcharge of £34.

BEATA FLIS, 48, of Danrhelyg in Newcastle Emlyn, was accused of speeding in a Jaguar in Newcastle Emlyn.

Flis was alleged to have been driving at 35mph on the 30mph A484 Cardigan Road on June 19.

The defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined £40 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15.

Flis was also ordered to pay £90 in costs and a £16 surcharge, and was handed three penalty points.

ADAM HARRIS, 43, of Brongest, must pay more than £1,000 after not identifying the driver of Mitsubishi Outlander.

The offence related to the Mitsubishi which was alleged to have been doing 81mph on the 70mph A48 near Pensarn on June 19.

Harris was fined £660, and was ordered to pay £90 in costs and a £264 surcharge. He also had six points added to his licence.

SIMON JONES, 33, of Pentrecagal, was caught driving with a faulty tyre on the A475.

Jones was alleged to have been driving with the ply or cord exposed on the front offside tyre at Llandyfriog on June 15.

The offence was proved using the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15.

Jones was fined £220, and must pay £90 in costs and an £88 surcharge. He had three points added to his licence.

GARRETH WILLIAMS, 41, of Stafford Street in Llanelli, has been in court after refusing to identify the driver of a car alleged to have committed an offence.

The offence related to the driver of a Kia Sportage who was alleged to have been doing 39mph on the 30mph A484 at Saron on June 16.

A charge of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have committed an offence was proved using the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15.

Williams was fined £660, and was ordered to pay £90 in costs and a £264 surcharge. He also had six points added to his licence.
