HERE are some of the latest people from Ceredigion and north Carmarthenshire who recently appeared in court for a range of offences.

Victoria Leale, 47, of Bridge Street, Lampeter, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Llanelli Magistrates Court on August 25 and was given punishment by the court on September 22.

She committed the offence on March 7 by failing to provide Dyfed-Powys Police with information relating to the identity of the driver of a Mazda 3 which was believed to have been involved in an earlier offence.

She was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay £660 fine, £264 surcharge and £90 costs.

Timothy David Tinney, 45, of Llanrhystud, Ceredigion, was found guilty of driving without wearing a seatbelt by Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 11.

He was caught on February 9 driving a Mercedes Sprinter on the B4337 Cribyn, Lampeter, without wearing a seatbelt.

He was ordered to pay £220 fine, £88 surcharge and £90 costs.

Matthew Jevon, 48, of Bro Granell, Llanwnen, Lampeter, admitted driving without due care and attention at Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 20.

He was caught on March 6 driving a Suzuki Swift without due care and attention on the B4337 two miles north of Talsarn, Lampeter.

He was given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £279 fine, £112 surcharge and £110 costs.

Tajudeen Oladipo Ojesanya, 49, of Bury Street, Salford, admitted driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence at Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 21.

He admitted that on February 25, he drove a Vauxhall Astra on the A487 Brynhoffnant, Aberaeron, without L plates on the vehicle and without a supervisory driver as is required by the provisional licence he holds.

He was given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £92 fine, £36 surcharge and £90 costs.

Billy Carter, 32, of The Beeches, Llandysul, admitted keeping a vehicle without a valid licence at Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 22.

He admitted that on March 11, 2023, he was the keeper of an unlicensed vehicle as the previous licence had expired on January 26, 2023.

He was ordered to pay £146 fine, £90 vehicle excise back duty and £100 costs.

Eliot Christopher Geobey, 32, of Llys Derwen, New Quay, admitted driving an unsuitable vehicle at Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 11.

He was caught on February 11 driving a Volkswagen Golf on the A487 Antaron Avenue, Aberystwyth, when the percentage of visual transmission of light through windows other than the windscreen was less than it should have been.

The visual transmission of light through the front driver side window was 43 per cent when by law it should be at least 70 per cent.

He was ordered to pay £116 fine, £46 surcharge and £90 costs.

Lauren Williams, 31, of Fountain Street, Ferndale, admitted drink driving at Aberystwyth Magistrates Court on August 24.

She admitted that on June 17, she drove a Ford Fiesta on the A487 Cardigan whilst over the drink-drive limit with an alcohol breath level of 43 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

She was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £261 fine, £104 surcharge and £85 costs.
