TWO applications for building storage buildings in the Teifi area have been submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council.

Warehouse/storage building in Newcastle Emlyn (reference: PL/06497. Consultation deadline: September 28)

Plans have been submitted by Mr Graham of Beacon Stoves for the construction of a warehouse/storage building at Ty Pren in Capel Iwan, Newcastle Emlyn.

The plans involve the construction of a warehouse/storage building for the storage of log burners and ancillary items associated with the company Beacon Stoves. It would be built on Beacon Stoves’ existing complex, yard and adjoining grass paddock on a 2,640 square metre site which includes both previously developed land and greenfield land.

The building would be 12.9m x 19m and made of painted metal sheet cladding and painted timber boarding walls, painted metal sheeting and translucent sheets for the roof, painted roller shutter doors and personnel door, and there will be a concrete apron and hardcore hardstanding.

Agricultural building in Llandysul (reference: PL/06499. Consultation deadline: September 28)

There are plans to build an agricultural building for storage at land on a plot in Rhos, Llandysul. The application was submitted by Mr and Mrs Davies and is to build an agricultural building for storing agricultural machinery and equipment used to work a 27-acre holding.

It will also store sileage bales, animal feed etc and be a place for maintenance of the machinery and equipment.

The building would be made of box-profile sheeting for the walls, and will have two roller shutter doors. The roof will either be made of box-profile sheeting or fibre cement sheeting and the hardstanding will be made of crushed stone and permeable.
