A FURTHER five defendants accused of conspiring to supply cocaine and cannabis in Ceredigion have appeared in court.

Davinder Singh, Akasha Smith, Toana Ahmad and Luqman Jarjis appeared at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court, while Diar Zabari appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

Each defendant has been charged with conspiring to supply cocaine between August 2022 and August 23 this year, and conspiring to supply cannabis between last August and December 31.

The offences were alleged to have taken place in Aberystwyth.

Singh, 36, of Huntingdon Road in West Bromwich; Smith, 23, of Third Avenue in Penparcau, Aberystwyth; Ahmad, 32, of Lee Gardens, Smethwick, near Birmingham; Jarjis, 18, of Wake Green Road, Springfield, near Birmingham; and Zabari, 34, of Bryn Road in Brynmill, Swansea, all did not enter a plea.

It is alleged that the five defendants conspired to supply the drugs along with several others who had their cases heard at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on August 25.

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that a number of arrests were made following drug raids in the Aberystwyth area and in the Birmingham area, with support from West Midlands Police, on Monday, August 21.

The defendants will appear at Swansea Crown Court on September 25.
