THERE are plans to turn part of a hotel into a studio.
Plans have been submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council by Mrs Owen to turn a building at the back of Cawdor Hotel in Newcastle Emlyn into a studio dwelling and workshop.
The building is currently a single-storey rendered building and two-storey extension which is disused accommodation for the hotel and is located through from Tanyard Lane in between Hatch kitchen supplies.
It is a 78 square metre site and is proposed to be changed from disused hotel accommodation to a studio dwelling and workshop/storeroom with associated works.
It would involve a change in the building, with the blockwork render walls being replaced with timber frame, timber cladding and tin sheets render and the glass fibre roof being replaced with tin sheets. The timber windows and doors would remain.
The full plans can be seen at www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/planningapplications and searching for the reference PL/06436. Any comments relating to the application can be made via the above link, by emailing planningconsultations@carmarthenshire.gov.uk or by writing to Planning Services, Civic Offices, Crescent Road, Llandeilo, SA19 6HW. If using the latter two ways, the reference number must be included in the representation and representations must be received by September 8.
