If there are any Tivyside readers who own a treasured item that needs that little bit of TLC, now’s your chance to revive it.

BBC One’s BAFTA-winning show ‘The Repair Shop’ is currently looking for contributors from all around Wales to join them in their new series.

Experts Steve, Dean and Kirsten are on the lookout for local people with a treasured item which they will take to the infamous barn to be restored to its former glory.

“We’re looking for unique items and they can come in all shapes and sizes,” said Repair Shop presenter Jay Blade.

“They don’t have to be antique, but they must have that sentimental value and must obviously be in need of repairing. We want people to get in touch and tell us about their tresured item because we want to get these things fixed.”

Previous series have seen musical instruments restored to perfect pitch as well as garments, books, crockery and jewellery restored to precision courtesy of 'The Repair Shop's team of experts.

“If you’ve got anything that needs restoring, that evokes a wonderful memories or is a treasured family possession then get in touch,” said executive producer Glenn Swift.

“All you need to do is fill in the form on the BBC website or email us the details and we’ll do the rest.”
