The young people of Ceredigion are being offered a £1,500 bursary thanks to the generosity of West Wales Holiday Cottages who are giving the youngsters a helping hand to meet their future aspirations.

The bursary is being offered to young people between the ages of 11 and 25.

The successful applicants will be chosen by Ceredigion Youth Forum, which is made up of young people from all over Ceredigion.

“We’re extremely grateful and appreciative to West Wales Holiday Cottages for providing us with this fangtastic opportunity,” said Gwion Bowen who works for Ceredigion Youth Services.

“West Wales Holiday Cottages recognise that many young people living in Ceredigion may be experiencing difficulties in accessing training, support and social activities due to socio-economic issues.

“The bursary was extremely successful last year, with three young people gaining financial support to help them with their projects and we hope that the bursary is similarly successful once again this year.”

The bursary is being aimed at young individuals who may need that extra financial support to reach their chosen goals.

This could be via training or by purchasing equipment they may require for their chosen vocation.

It could also include youngsters looking to start their own enterprise or a member of a community group that is in need of financial support to purchase resources or equipment.

The closing date for applications is midnight on July 31, 2023.
