Cardigan’s HSBC customers will temporarily find themselves without a bank when the branch will remain closed from May 26 until June 14.
Business banking customers are now being advised to continue their transactions at the Post Office which is situated on the opposite side of the High Street.
They will be eligible to receive change with their business bank cards and will also be able to deposit cash and cheques.
Both personal and business customers can continue to withdraw money, deposit cash and cheques, and also check their bank balances.
“This is a service that we offer as standard,” commented a Post Office spokesperson, “and not just when banks have closed.”
