A CEREDIGION group is urging people to consider becoming a volunteer and/or trustee with a special open event in Lampeter next week.

Ceredigion Citizens Advice is taking part in The Big Help Out as part of the celebrations around the coronation of King Charles III alongside hundreds of volunteer-led charities.

Ceredigion Citizens Advice will be holding an information and taster day at its admin offices in Canolfan Creuddyn, Lampeter, on Tuesday, May 9 between 11am and 3pm. This will showcase the volunteers and the benefits of volunteering.

Volunteers are the backbone of Citizens Advice across the UK and particularly in Ceredigion, where 18 volunteers have been rigorously trained to become qualified advisors and are able to help residents with a wide range of queries.

At the event, staff, trustees and volunteers will be available to talk about the benefits and rewards of volunteering with Citizens Advice, as well as explain what is involved.

Ceredigion Citizens Advice is looking for volunteer advisers and trustees to help make a difference in the community. Anyone is able to drop in to the session and for more information, contact enquiries@cabceredigion.org
