A CEREDIGION rotary club has donated £1,000 to Wales Air Ambulance.

Clwb Rotari Aberaeron/Aberaeron Rotary Club is celebrating 20 years serving the community and has been prioritising activities in the communities of Aberaeron and the surrounding district.

The members have been pleased by the generous donations from the local communities with the Christmas collection for Wales Air Ambulance and recently visited the Wales Air Ambulance Trust’s Llanelli base to present the cheque for £1,000.

A group spokesperson said: “We were made to feel very welcome and able to see the helicopter and crew take off on a deployment. We saw very dedicated and professional people doing a vital job.”

Over the last 20 years, Aberaeron Rotary Club has been a visible presence at local events, working to support the community and will continue to do so.

“We are the club of the Aberaeron and district with true and hardworking members upholding Rotary values, ethics, guiding principles and integrity.”

Anyone wishing to join the club can do so as a ‘friend of Rotary,’ and associate member or a full member, and will help to make a difference with talents, skills and abilities.

Aberaeron Rotary Club meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at Pennant Community Centre. For more information on the club or to join, contact Malcolm or John at aberaeronrotaryclub@btinternet.com or visit www.aberaeronrotary.org.uk
