MEMBERS of New Quay’s WI have spent months knitting, crocheting and sewing to create a beautiful Remembrance Day tribute in the village centre.
The work – by The Seaside Sisters including a trailing Poppy cape, bin topper and assorted poppies – was erected last night under cover of darkness to be revealed at first light this morning.
“We have had an amazing response from locals and visitors on Facebook,” said a spokesperson.
“An ex-RAF serviceman also sent us the following message: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your lovely work on display at New Quay gladdened me. Thank you again.”
