CEREDIGION Citizens Advice will be out and about in the county this winter with a series of pop-up advice shops in local community venues.

The charity have received funding to run drop in advice sessions in 12 communities: Cardigan, Aberporth, Penparc, Llandysul, Cilgerran, Crymych, St Dogmaels, Melindwr, Beulah, Llanon, Cenarth, Newcastle Emlyn.

These communities are in the top 15 of advice calls made to Ceredigion Citizens Advice.

The charity have already started four successful regular outreach sessions in Penparcau, Borth, Lampeter and Aberaeron.

The Advice To Go sessions are due to start on Friday, October 28 in Canolfan Dyffryn, Aberporth, from 10am until 2pm followed by sessions in Cardigan, Llandysul, Beulah, Cilgerran, Llanon, Melindwr, Aberystwyth, Crymych, St Dogmaels, Cenarth and Ferwig right through until March next year.

Ceredigion Citizens Advice chief executive Juliet Morris said: “We know how hard it can be for people to reach the support they need.

“So much is online or at the end of an automated phone system, often so impersonal as to be unreachable.

“These community drop-in sessions bring our advisers, in person, to where they are most needed.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for people to get the information and advice they need to support them through these challenging times.”
