CARDIGAN Golf Club held its second Winter Open last Friday (January 21), and an excellent entry of 84 golfers enjoyed a course set up in excellent condition in fine golfing weather.
The winning team with an excellent score of 94 stableford points was B Hogan, C Rees, R Morgan and M Morgan (Cardigan).
In second place on countback with 92 points were L Calderbank, W Jenkins, I Tushingham and H Horrocks (Cardigan), and in third place, also with 92 points, were G.Morris, N Davies, J Emanuel and C Davies (Cardigan). The final Winter Open is on March 11.
A Wales versus Ireland Boys and Girls International match is taking place at Cardigan Golf Club on 18-20 March. and the club will be hosting the Wales Golf Area 4 South West Wales Medal Silver Bronze match on 6 June.
Meanwhile the Welsh Men's Team Championship will be held at Cardigan Golf Club on 5-7 August.
