Ceredigion Schools' Football Association have entered six teams in the Welsh Inter Association competition for the 2021/22 season.

The Under 13's girls' team kicked off their representation when they hosted Pembrokeshire and were on the end of 5-1 defeat, with the final score flattering the winners.

The boys' Under 13's picked up the baton with a home fixture against Afan Nedd and emerged as thrilling 6-3 victors, with the superior fitness of the home players proving crucial.

Scorers for the home side were Hari Jones (4), Shane Evans and Telor Jenkins. The match was kindly sponsored by West Coast Cleaning and Linen Services Ltd.

A week later they travelled to to play the return away fixture and produced another excellent display to win 2-0 with goals from Shane Davies and Shane Evans.

The other fixture played so far saw the Under 15's girls beat their Carmarthenshire counterparts 7-2 in another entertaining game, which was closer than the final score suggests.

Scorers for the home team were Lleucu Mathias (5), Lili Vince and Sioned Davies.

With the boys Under 12's 14's and 15's still to start their fixtures, there are encouraging signs that an exciting season lies ahead.
