FLAGS are flying at full-mast in Ceredigion to mark this year’s Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

The Council will also be lighting its buildings in red every night until Sunday as a mark of Remembrance.

On Sunday, 14 November, some roads will be closed temporarily in Lampeter and Cardigan so the Act of Remembrance can be held safely around each town’s war memorial.

The council has asked that those attending any services keep a social distance and follow the latest COVID-19 guidance.

Councillor Paul Hinge, Chairman of the Council and Armed Forces Champion for Ceredigion County Council said: “Although most restrictions have now eased and we’re fortunate to be able to meet up and pay our respects together; we must still remember the basic COVID-19 safety measures to keep everyone safe.

"We can still remember the sacrifices made by past generations and pay tribute to those who lost their lives whether that will be at a public service or in the comfort of our own home.”
