THE Tregroes and District Village Hall Committee presented a cheque for £1,010 following the publication of a book dedicated to the life of Kate Davies or - as she was locally - Kate Ardwyn.
Kate was a past pupil of the-then Tregroes County Primary School and the cheque was given to the school by past pupils and committee members Eleri Davies and Delyth Evans who authored the book.
The other key figures in its launch were Dylan Iorwerth and Elaine Davies. Haf Bach Mihangel is a collection of popular poems and memories of the life of Kate Ardwyn.
A cheque for the same amount, £1010, was also presented to the Ceredigion Association for the Blind.
