Views are being sought on the future of gambling in Ceredigion, covering betting, gaming, casinos, lotteries and bingo.

The current gambling policy was last reviewed in January 2019, and must be reviewed every three years.

Councillor Gareth Lloyd, who is the Cabinet member with responsibility for Public Protection Services, said: “This consultation is an opportunity for both residents and businesses to express their views on the Gambling Policy.

"We encourage constructive feedback so that amendments or changes can be made where appropriate.

"Ceredigion prides itself as a network of communities that can communicate and join together in tackling issues.

"I wish to highlight that you should get in contact with the Council if there are gambling-related problems in your area.

"If you feel that access to gambling by vulnerable persons in your area is a problem or if you consider that access to gambling by children or young people in your area is a problem.”

Following the consultation, a report will be completed and considered by the Cabinet of Ceredigion County Council and then to the members of the full Council.

The consultation will close on 18 November 2021. You can have your say and read about the policy HERE
