CARDIGAN Golf Club's juniors played in glorious conditions for the Captain’s Cup on Bank Holiday Saturday, generously sponsored by club captain Warren Jenkins.

Prize winners were as follows: 9 hole Blue: 1st Owen McLoughlin; 2nd Iolo Adams-Lewis. 9 hole Red: 1st Lucas Collins; 2nd Reece Sacco. 18 hole Captain’s Cup: 1st Bleddyn Holgate 45pts; 2nd Gethin Wilcox 40pts; 3rd Faith Randerson 38pts.

Cardigan Golf Club held a Seniors Section Yellow Tee stableford competition on Thursday 12 August, which was won by Tony Simpkin with 34 points, playing off 24.

In second place was Glyn Parry with 33 points off 29, and in third place was Mike Clarke with 29 points off 22.

On Saturday 14 August, there were 20 entries for the Eivryn James Challenge Bowl Aggregate Medal. The winner with a nett 69 playing off 10 was Hedd Adams-Lewis.

In second place was Lyndsay Morgan with a nett 70 playing off 7, and in third place was Keith Phillips with a nett 73 playing off 10.

The 4th round of the Eclectic B stableford competition attracted 25 entries on Wednesday 18 August. The winner with a brilliant score of 46 points was Colin Davies playing off 16.

In second place was Rich Griffiths with 42 points off 7, and in third place on countback was Keith Rose with 40 points off 13.

The I H Jones Trophy Aggregate Medal was played on Saturday 21 August. In the Division 1 category for handicaps 1-20, there were 15 entries.

The winner with a nett 69 off 11 was Meirion Jones. In second place was Andy Rodda with a nett 72 off 6, and in third place was Rich Emanuel with a nett 73 off 2.

In the Division 2 category for handicaps 21+, the winner was Terry Hammett with a nett 77 off 21.

The 5th round of the Seniors Section Geoff Snape Trophy was held on Thursday 26 August. There were 28 entries, and the winner on countback was Mike Clarke with 39 points off 22.

In second place, also with 39 points, was Nigel Clarke off 15, and in third place on countback was Eirian Lewis with 38 points off 10.
