MEMBERS of the Newcastle Emlyn branch of the Royal British Legion held a small service on Saturday to celebrate its centenary.
Ken Jones led the service and armed forces representatives and local dignitaries presented a joint wreath.
The Pledge of the Royal British Legion Branch was voiced by branch president Ken Rathbone and a joint wreath bearing the names of those representing the Royal Navy (Richard Redman), the British Army (Mike Beckingsale), the Royal Air Force (Peter Wooley), Dyfed Powys Police (Pc Donoghue), Newcastle Emlyn Town Council and Jo Jones, town mayoress, was laid.
