A WOMAN who stole alcohol from a Cardigan store has been handed a six-month conditional discharge.

Sarah Pryddech Jones, of Priory Court, Cardigan, pleaded guilty when she appeared at Aberystwyth Justice Centre to charges of stealing a 10-pack of Strongbow and a four-pack of Stella Artois from Cardigan Spar store and another pack of Stella Artois on July 23.

As well as the six-month conditional discharge, magistrates ordered the 35-year-old to pay compensation totalling £20.51, as well as £85 prosecution costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
