THOUSANDS of temporary jobs are up for grabs as part of the 2021 Census.

The Census is a survey that takes place every 10 years to give a picture of all people and households in England and Wales.

This helps to plan and fund public services. Billions of pounds of public money is distributed using Census figures.

Data Cymru uses Census information to identify pressures on schools, roads and transports, for example.

A range of roles are available with more than 35,000 field staff required across England and Wales.

Field staff are the public face of the Census and jobs are available for people with knowledge of a local area and who can relate to the communities within it.

The hours are flexible and include the opportunity to work part-time, evenings and weekends.

Census Day is March 21, 2021.
