A KNOWSLEY man who broke the rules to travel to Ceredigion during the first coronavirus lockdown must pay more than £500 in a fine and costs.
Anthony Peter Spencer, of Round Hey, Stockbridge Village, Knowsley, pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure when the case was heard before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
He was caught at Strata Florida after travelling without reasonable excuse during the emergency period on June 14.
The 30-year-old was fined £440 by the court and ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £44 victim surcharge.
