ROBBERS with weapons threatened two people in in the same evening in Liden.
Both crimes happened around 9pm on Wednesday near the roundabout of Liden Drive and Sedgebrook.
Two men pushed a man in his 20s to the floor, threatened him with a weapon and demanded money but ran off empty-handed.
Their victim was shaken but not injured.
A short time later, two men with a weapon threatened another man in his 20s and demanded money from him.
He handed over a small amount of change and the men got into a car, believed to be a black vehicle, and fled the scene.
Police are investigating the incidents, which they think are linked, and are appealing for witnesses.
The men are both described as black, aged approximately 17 to 18 years old, 5ft 5 inches tall and wearing jogging bottoms and hoodies.
Det Con Charlotte Upton said: “We believe these incidents are linked – they happened within a short space of time in the same location near to the bus lane and the descriptions given of those involved are very similar.
"We’re conducting enquiries in relation to both incidents and would urge anyone with information about either robbery to get in touch.
"Did you see two men acting suspiciously in the area around this time? Maybe you have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle which may have captured the pair. Please get in touch.”
