A LLECHRYD man has been banned from the roads for a year and fined after admitting drug-driving.
Craig Charles Tipping, of Maesyderi, Llechryd, was caught by police while driving a Ford Mondeo on the A478 at Penybryn, Cardigan, on May 18.
A drugs test showed 6.7 microgrammes of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) per litre of blood. The legal limit is two microgrammes.
Tipping appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre where he pleaded guilty to driving when the proportion of a controlled drug exceeded the specified limit.
As well as a 12-month driving ban, the 57-year-old was fined £120, along with £85 prosecution costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
