A BUMPER entry of more than 100 tractors took part in a recent run from E Davies and Son at Pwllygrifft Yard, Tanygroes.

The event was dedicated to Judith Davies, who sadly died earlier this year, with more than £5,500 raised to support Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn district nurses.

The 104 tractors which took part travelled along a 22-mile route, down to Betws Ifan then onto Beulah, crossing the main road and down the back lanes eventually arriving at Penparc where they would cross the A487 and onto the lunch halt at The Shed , Mwnt.

The second half went via Felinwynt to Aberporth and back to Tanygroes.

Organisers said: “We would like to thank everyone who made yesterday possible, especially Mandy and Sharon who did all the admin at the start; also, Annette and the girls who looked after the refreshments, Penparc YFC and all the marshals, and a big thank you to Christine and Dyfed over at The Shed at Mwnt, who looked after us on our halfway stop.

“The biggest thanks go to everyone who took part. A lot of people travelled a long way to get over to Pwllygrifft and made it a huge success.”
