Drive-in cinema is coming to the 26-acre grounds of Stoke Place hotel in Slough for the first time this July.

Three initial dates have been released and tickets are available now, with demand proving popular as people look for safe, socially distanced experiences to enjoy this summer

The cinema will be set within the hotel’s parkland, overlooking its lake, gardens and fields.

Independence Day will be shown on the same day as celebrations in the US (Saturday, July 4), family favourite The Greatest Showman will screen on Friday, July 10 and 80s classic Dirty Dancing will follow on Saturday, July 11. All films will begin at 9.30pm, with arrival from 8.30pm.

Adding to the fun experience, a selection of snacks from American classics to sweet treats are available to pre-order. These include Monterey Jack Cheeseburger & Chips, Caramelised Crunchy Onion Hot Dog, American-style Mustard Corndog, Skinny Fries, Cone of Salty or Sweet Popcorn and Pick & Mix Cone, as well as a selection of soft drinks.

This is the first of an outdoor events series Stoke Place hopes to run throughout summer, helping local people to make the most of the warmer months in a safe way.

Terry McEvoy, Stoke Place’s general manager, said: “Our beautiful grounds are the perfect backdrop for a drive-in cinema under the stars. We’ve hugely missed hosting guests over the last few months and can’t wait to welcome people back to Stoke Place to enjoy these popular films. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure social distancing at all times and make it a great experience for attendees.”

Tickets are priced at £40 per car and must be booked in advance. To make a booking email enquiries@stokeplace.co.uk or call the hotel on 01753 534 790.
