A COUPLE from Bradford who fancied “visiting the coast” and ended up at Mwnt beach are the latest to be fined and sent packing under coronavirus lockdown rules.
They were found at the beach yesterday (Tuesday, May 27) by officers from Cardigan’s Neighbourhood Policing Team.
“They had travelled a considerable distance only to be fined and sent straight back home. Regular patrols continue at our beaches and popular beauty spots,” said a police spokesperson.
It is not the first time people have been found flouting the rules at Mwnt. A trio from London who set up camp in the area were found last month, fined and sent back home.
